Terms & Conditions

The terms that apply when you use this website, request a quotation or place an order with SHEQ Guard.

1. Who we are

This website (sheqguard.co.za) is operated by SHEQ Guard (Pty) Ltd, registration number 2026/094618/07, VAT number 4110325661, of 725 Matumi Street, Montana, Pretoria, 0182 ("SHEQ Guard", "we", "us"). Phone 082 737 8704 · email info@sheqguard.co.za · office hours Monday to Friday, 08:00–16:30 (closed on weekends and public holidays). This is also our address for receiving legal notices.

2. Accepting these terms

By using this website, requesting a quotation or placing an order, you agree to these terms. If you buy on behalf of a company, you confirm that you are authorised to bind it.

3. Our services and products

3.1 We provide occupational health, safety, environmental and quality (SHEQ) consulting, audits, risk assessments, safety files and compliance documentation. We also coordinate training, medicals, occupational hygiene surveys, fire equipment services, lifting equipment inspections and equipment calibration, and we supply products such as legal posters, first aid kits, AEDs and breathalysers.

3.2 Some services are delivered by qualified or accredited partners (for example accredited training providers, occupational health practitioners, occupational hygienists, registered lifting machinery inspectors and SANAS-accredited laboratories). SHEQ Guard remains your point of contact and is responsible for coordinating the service.

3.3 Product images and descriptions are for guidance. Minor differences in packaging or appearance may occur.

4. Prices, quotations and VAT

4.1 All prices are in South African Rand. Prices on this website include VAT at 15% unless clearly marked otherwise.

4.2 Items marked "Request a Quote" are priced after we understand the scope. A written quotation is valid for 30 days unless it states otherwise.

4.3 Prices for services that depend on the size of your workplace (for example per-employee bands) are based on the information you give us. If the actual scope differs materially, we will tell you and agree on an adjusted price before continuing.

4.4 We may correct obvious pricing errors on the website. If a price was wrong, we will contact you before processing your order and you may cancel at no cost.

5. Travel and delivery

5.1 Travel for on-site services is included within 50 km of our Pretoria office. Beyond 50 km, travel is quoted separately and shown as its own line on your quotation and invoice.

5.2 Products can be collected from our office or delivered. Courier delivery within 50 km of our office costs R260 per order and is free on product orders above R2 500 (excl. VAT). Delivery to sites more than 50 km from our office is quoted separately from the product, and we will confirm the delivery cost with you before dispatch.

5.3 Risk in a product passes to you on delivery or collection. Ownership passes once we have received payment in full.

6. Orders and payment

6.1 An online order is an offer to buy. A contract is formed when we confirm your order by email.

6.2 Products and online (e-learning) courses are payable in full at checkout. Services and classroom or on-site training are invoiced and, unless you have an account agreement with us, payable within 30 days of the invoice date. Training certificates are issued once payment has been received.

6.3 We may require a deposit before we book third-party services on your behalf (for example training, medicals or surveys).

6.4 Overdue amounts may attract interest at the rate allowed by law, and we may pause services until the account is settled.

6.5 Card payments are processed by our payment provider. We never see or store your full card details.

7. Bookings and your responsibilities

7.1 Service dates are confirmed once the order or quotation is accepted and any deposit is paid. The lead times on each product page show how soon a service is usually available. Dates are always subject to availability, and you are welcome to book further ahead.

7.2 For on-site services you must give us safe access to the site, the people and the information we need, and tell us about any site-specific hazards or induction requirements.

7.3 Our reports and documents are based on the information, access and conditions at the time. You remain responsible, as the employer, for implementing the recommended controls and for your legal duties under the Occupational Health and Safety Act.

7.4 Safety files are compiled to the specification provided by your client or principal contractor, and can only be completed once you have given us all the required information. Approval by your client or principal contractor depends on the information supplied and cannot be guaranteed.

8. Cancellations, refunds and returns

Our Refunds, Cancellations & Bookings Policy forms part of these terms.

9. Certificates, reports and intellectual property

9.1 Once paid in full, you may use the reports, files and documents we prepare for you for your own business.

9.2 Our templates, methods, website content and branding remain the property of SHEQ Guard and may not be copied or resold.

9.3 Training certificates are issued by the accredited training provider under its own accreditation and rules, and are released once payment has been received.

10. Limitation of liability

10.1 Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act, where it applies to you.

10.2 To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss (such as loss of profit). Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the specific service or product.

10.3 We are not liable for delays caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including load-shedding, strikes, severe weather or partner unavailability. We will keep you informed and reschedule as soon as possible.

11. Website use

You may not misuse this website, interfere with its security or use its content for commercial purposes without our written permission. Links to other websites are for convenience; we are not responsible for their content.

12. Privacy

We process your personal information as set out in our Privacy Policy.

13. Disputes and governing law

These terms are governed by South African law. If you have a complaint, please email info@sheqguard.co.za and we will respond within 5 working days. Unresolved disputes may be referred to the Consumer Goods and Services Ombud (where applicable) or the courts with jurisdiction.

14. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page on the date of your order applies to that order.
